About
The old books were never boring — just badly dressed.
Hawk Jefferson Publishing, LLC publishes the enduring canon — 160 works of literature, philosophy, science, politics, and scripture — in new editions built for people who’ve been told these books aren’t for them.
Every title in the Classic Library is in the public domain. No one owns Homer or Darwin or Austen anymore, which is exactly the point: we can set a fair price, design them without asking permission, and hand them straight to you. What you pay covers the paper, the making, and the people — not a century-old licensing deal.
The look is the argument. The type stays classic — the same sober serif these books have worn for two hundred years. Then we detonate the cover with color. Underneath the paint, the words haven’t changed. They were always this alive.
We’re rolling out the whole library in print and digital. Reservations are open now — tell us which ones you want, and we’ll email you the moment your edition is ready. No payment until it is.
